The panel of experts of the Academy for Teaching Development has once again awarded funding for projects to further develop teaching. All students and lectures were again called upon to apply for funding with their projects. All applications for project funding received by the deadline of 15 March 2025 took part in the award procedure. Due to the competitive procedure, many projects applied for could not be funded. All applicants always contribute to the further development of teaching at our university with their projects! Our sincere thanks go to all of them!
In total, the following 10 projects were selected for funding in three of the funding lines:

Funding Line "Innovation in Teaching"

  • Dr. Saeid Sadeghnejad: „AI and Machine Learning for All: Exploring Applications in Geosciences
  • Prof. Dr. Christiane Schmullius, Prof. Dr. Caroline Rosenthal: „Water in North America: Remote Sensing and Literary Studies in Dialogue. A cross-faculty seminar with a conference visit to the ESA Living Planet Symposium
  • Prof. Dr. Michael Wessel: „Personal AI learning assistant for students at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics“
  • Prof. Dr. Benjamin R. Auer: „Financial App Development"
  • Prof. Dr. Vladimir Matveev, Dr. Manuel Quaschner: „Digital learning and test formats for geometry"
  • Anica Löchel, Susan Beatrice Müller: „Practical workshop - leading conflictual counselling situations professionally at school"

Funding Line "Student Initiatives"

  • Frederic Forkel: „Establishment of a cross-faculty academic journal for the publication of articles and essays“
  • Lena Kirsch, Torben Bunzethal: „Faust ll“

Funding Line "Student Initiatives PLUS"

  • Moritz Weiß: „Refugee Law Clinic Jena - Service learning in asylum and residence law”
  • Niklas Menge: „Exam preparation weekend (KlaVoWo) in mathematics“
