Our University offers 26 international degree programmes. Many of these are part of collaborations with international partner universities enabling our students to earn a double degree.

The defining features of international degree programmes include:

  • specialist and intercultural content,
  • any language of instruction except German,
  • higher percentage of foreign students, or
  • a compulsory semester/year abroad.

These programmes offer our students the opportunity to study on an international campus at home, and to broaden their horizons about Thuringia, Germany, and beyond.

International double degree/multilateral programmes

Our international double degree programmes boost the academic portfolio of our University and promote international exchange in research and teaching. All international degree programmes offered in cooperation with our partner universities abroad are part of your international study options (see above) at the University of Jena.

The cooperations allow you to spend part of your study programme at a partner institution abroad. The courses you completed there will be recognized by the University of Jena. After completing the programme, you will earn an academic degree from both institutions (double degree programme).

If your application was successful, the person in charge of your programme will contact you (see below). They will also inform you about any required study periods abroad. Information about the study programme are available at the study programme description.
